| | Description: | The purpose of the Tampa Bay Environmental Atlas is to compile existing
biological and water resource data for the Tampa Bay ecosystem and map these
data at a scale of 1:24,000. The atlas was compiled in conjunction with the
1982, 1972, and 1952 wetland land-use mapping of the Tampa Bay area, which is
also at a scale of 1:24,000. The Tampa Bay Environmental Atlas consists of
composited information overlain on 18 biological and 20 water resource base
maps to produce a total of 38 maps, and an accompanying map narrative.
Federal, State and local decision-makers will be able to use this atlas and its
accompanying map narrative for coastal planning and management of the wetland
areas within the Tampa Bay ecosystem study area. |
